Ancient Mesopotamia-The Sumerians
From what I can gather about ancient Mesopotamia, it is highly regarded as the location of the first civilization on planet Earth. Sumer’s timeline began sometime around 3200 B.C., but the first city was Eridu which supposedly was built by the “gods.” One of the many controversies that surround the Sumerian civilization is the location where they originally came from. It’s obvious from their ancient text that they migrated there.
When I learned about haplogroups and how it relates to tracing civilizations, it became clear of the possibilities of where the Sumerians came from and who they were.
If the Sumerian belief in the Anunnaki is true among the people interested in them, will they also accept the possibility of the Anunnaki myth not originating in ancient Mesopotamia? Will they then further their research once presented with new information?
