Lucy is the name given to a set of bones that dated back as far as 3.2 million years ago and belonged to the Australopithecus afarensis species. Lucy was found in Hadar, Ethiopia, in Africa.
However, according to “updated science,” the earliest hominid with evidence of bipedalism goes to the Ardipithecus ramidus, which dates back to 4.4 million years ago. Those sets of bones were discovered in Ethiopia’s harsh Afar desert at a site called Aramis in the Middle Awash region, just 46 miles from where Lucy’s species, Australopithecus afarensis, was found in 1974.
Of course, the Lucy bones, the piece of evidence that many people flock to when it comes to identifying the transition from apes to more human-like, can be debated as an exaggeration.
I’m aware of the many claims from individuals who may or may not have the credentials to go against what paleoanthropologist Donald Carl Johanson presented in his findings when he discovered the new hominid species.
But bipedalism seems to be the main reason why we are considered humans.
Cognitive Skills
According to Indeed, “Cognitive skills, otherwise called cognitive awareness, apply to the skills required to understand and navigate the world. These skills are the mental abilities and processes that control your actions and that allow you to conduct complex tasks. Your cognitive awareness allows you to learn, remember, and problem-solve.”
Bipedalism and cognitive awareness are the two distinguishing factors that make humans human. At least, this is what I understand so far. So with “Lucy” possibly being the beginning of our bipedalism, what species of primates gave us our level of “cognitive awareness?”

Nope, who ever it was has just found a set of bones and put them together in what they THINK was the right thing to do but LOTS of bones MISSING to make it an ape so they just ASSUMED to use an ape finding and go with it. Bones have been placed all WRONG so let’s just assume and go with that and call it this or that and call it a wonder of the world, WHERE’S the REST of the bones?
Isn’t it possible animals cd have dragged some away to eat it later. Or weather cd
h ave caused them to be washed avea in a flood or something. Maybe another relative of Lucy, came along years later and thought they could make something useful out of them. Think of how long ago that was. For all we know the desert was once an ocean. That has happened.
The presentation was very informative and helpful. I have read this information years ago. President Truman seemed to be the only human that knew the real truth. He flew to Area 51 to meet Aliens. Government documents have been released.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said
“You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the
shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
