Anu The Ruler of all Anunnaki

Anu The Ruler of all Anunnaki

The many scholars (not all) I’ve read books from have shared that the Sumerians believed in a god named An, also known as Anu (Egyptian version). With An being the Sumerian version and Ancar being the Akkadian version, the depiction and description of An/Ancar are similar throughout ancient Mesopotamia.

From www.britannica.com, “An, dates from the oldest Sumerian period, at least 3000 B.C. Originally he seems to have been envisaged as a great bull; a form later disassociated from the god as a separate mythological entity, the Bull of Heaven, which was owned by An.”

The belief about An

Many individuals who had the luxury of learning and translating the cuneiform tablets from ancient Mesopotamia and other historical documents described An as the head of the Anunnaki pantheon.

From what I’ve read, there was a ranking system for the Anunnaki, and An’s number rank was 60, the highest number for the Anunnaki.

The Fight

According to many scholars and researchers worldwide, after defeating Alalu in a battle, An came into power and became ruler of Nibiru. With An as the new ruler, Alalu fled and took residence in a foreign land. Some scholars believe that the foreign land was the new land he migrated to, which became ancient Mesopotamia.

I’ve read many books about the Anuna/Anunnaki, from academic scholars to history buffs. Most of the information is the same; however, when I go to this website, ETCSL, and read the available text, much of the information written in those books I’ve read doesn’t share the same idea about Nibiru explicitly the one that comes from Zecharia Sitchin’s books. To begin with, it was first spelled Nibru, and it wasn’t described as a planet either. Instead, it was an ancient Mesopotamian city. Furthermore, no cuneiform tablet from the Sumerians says Nibiru was a planet from which the Anunnaki came.

Enki and the world order: c.1.1.3
“I will admire its green cedars. Let the lands of Meluḫa, Magan, and Dilmun look upon me, upon Enki. Let the Dilmun boats be loaded (?) with timber. Let the Magan boats be loaded sky-high. Let the magilum boats of Meluḫa transport gold and silver and bring them to Nibru for Enlil, king of all the lands.”

An’s pictograph symbol was the 8-Pointed Star, and the sign of the star in Sumerian pictographs stood for An. Of course, with modification, there is a belief that this is the first representation of the cross. Anu’s abode was the “heavens” in the sky, no different from how God’s abode was Heaven. Something else I learned is that An=Star=Heavens=god.

The Sumerian word for god or goddesses is digir.

Translations

There have been many translations of the cuneiform tablets, and many more still need to be translated. As stated in previous articles, I have read many books and watched documentaries about the Anunnaki. And for the most part, there is a general idea about “who” the Anunnaki are and how they are “gods.” But there is also plenty of discrepancies throughout the community that shares an interest in the Anunnaki.

Origins

When it comes to An/Ancar, not much has been written about him.

Sumer’s earliest cuneiform writing dates to around the 18th century B.C. But An/Ancar is barely mentioned throughout the Sumerian cuneiform tablets, leaving many wondering who An was and where he came from.

The search continues.

I believe the anu are the survivors of a prior reset who came to help along mankind. Last 200 years, from steem engines to Hebron collider.
